Beginner Glassblowing 1 - June
In the beginner level glassblowing class the teacher will guide you through the exciting process of making your very own glass creation out of 1200*C glass! Your experience will include handling blowpipes and solid rods with molten glass on the end, colouring the glass to create your own custom patterns and colour combinations, and how to blow and\or shape glass into a piece of your own choosing! Options include:
-Drinking glass (stemless wine glass, tumbler\whiskey glass)
-Bowl (small salad bowl or cereal bowl size)
-Solid sculpted bird
-Small flower vase
No experience is necessary. Finished glass requires an overnight annealing period to cool off slowly. They break otherwise! We have a storage box at the studio for convenient pickup. We are located at 427 22 Ave NW in Mount Pleasant.
***Safety items: Please wear close-toed shoes and cotton clothing. Eye wear is required too. Regular seeing glasses and sunglasses are fine. We have safety glasses at the studio if needed. A water bottle is a good idea too!
We require 48 hours notice for rebooking\cancellation.
