The beauty of blown glass relies on light shining through its reflective and transparent surfaces. The Murrini Xmas Ball is the perfect playground for sunlight as it illuminates the colourful handblown glass surface. "Murrinis" are a vivid and technical feature where molten hot glass colour has been coated in more hot glass colour, given patterns and shapes, then pulled into 20 foot lengths of pencil thick rods. This cane is then thinly sliced into little cross sections, melted into glass then blown round resulting in a truly stunning ornament.
Each ball will vary in colour based on how the glass colour sticks and the colours of murinni we use. Each ornament is an original creation!
